Science East

Science East is a charity-run science museum located at 668 Brunswick Street in downtown Fredericton. In addition to providing many hands-on exhibits on topics including robotics, biology, the environment, and even forensic sciences, Science East also provides March Break and Summer Camps for children.

Another interesting fact about Science East is that it is located in the building which once housed the York County Jail, and thereby the gallows.  This is why we have chosen to place George Elliott Clarke's poem "The Killing" at this location, as the poem recounts part of the story of the last two men to be hanged at the Fredericton gallows.
